In 7 simple steps, you'll find your perfect-fitting garment at MAXIMILIAN MOGG. Whether it's a suit, coat, shirt, or chinos—we can fulfill all your wardrobe needs.
The decision
The day has come... the moment has arrived: "Off-the-rack" is no longer enough for you. The reasons for this realization are countless—and each one is a good one. If you're now thinking of Humphrey Bogart's wonderful line, "Louis, I believe this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship," we can only agree. The relationship between a tailor and his clients usually lasts a lifetime. We look forward to working with you to develop a wardrobe that will accompany you through life's peaks and valleys like a good friend.
Book the appointment
The first step has been taken, and from here on, things only get easier: Schedule a consultation in our showrooms in Berlin or Cologne, or at one of our national and international trunk shows. We regularly visit many parts of Europe and the USA. We bring measuring tape, our fabric collections, and various designs to our appointments. We'll then discuss the details on-site and look together at what we can create for you.
Our appointment together
As we said, it's getting easier and easier. We'll get to know each other at our meeting at the Berlin or Cologne branch, or at one of our selected locations at a trunk show. You don't actually need to prepare—but you're welcome to invest as much time in yourself as you'd like in advance.
The design process
We'll guide you through the design process and advise you on the selection of fabrics, colours, patterns, and all design details—such as the shape of the lapel, the angle of the pockets, and the number of buttons on the suit. Whether you want a perfectly fitting classic or something truly extraordinary is entirely up to you. We're happy to guide you through your decisions.
you are measured
We take up to 39 different measurements of your body and additionally record relevant data such as your posture and movement profile. These form the basis for creating a unique garment for you.
The making of your garment
The making of your garment takes between 5 and 16 weeks, depending on the product, fabric availability and the level of craftsmanship.
we create a cut
Using all your measurements and our observations, we create a custom pattern for you. Based on this pattern, our cutters cut the fabric you selected to create your new garment. During fittings and subsequent visits, your pattern will be continuously updated and adjusted to ensure it's always up-to-date. This is also important so that you can later order made-to-measure garments online from the MAXIMILIAN MOGG Club.
the art of tailoring
Our tailors will assemble the fabric pieces cut by the cutters to create your garment. Once this step is complete, we'll notify you so you can schedule an initial fitting.
Fitting
At your second appointment, you'll try on the garment, and we'll check the fit together. If any alterations are necessary, we'll take care of them. At the same time, we'll update your pattern in our archive. A few weeks later, the garment will be ready for pickup or shipping.
If you book bespoke
When you order bespoke, your cut will be perfected over several appointments and fittings. We repeat steps 5 through 7 up to three times to guarantee a perfect fit. This line is manufactured in London by Savile Row-trained cutters and makers to—perhaps—the highest standards in the world.
And then?
Now that you've held your first MAXIMILIAN MOGG garment in your hands, nothing stands in the way of planning the next one. During the same or a subsequent appointment, we'll gather your feedback on how satisfied you are with the look, fit, and comfort of the first garment and discuss how we'd like to proceed. Perhaps you'd like it a little slimmer or looser? Something more extravagant or more conservative? The same suit in a different fabric or color? Or perhaps a dinner jacket?

If you've purchased a made-to-measure of bespoke suit or coat from us, we welcome you to the MAXIMILIAN MOGG Club. From then on, you can order all designs in this shop made to your individual measurements – at the price of the standard sizes shown.
