I chose this week’s suit very much with Tuesday’s shirt in mind, seeing them very much as an outfit I would put together on a regular basis. Those of you who have read previous blog entries from me know that I love wearing striped shirts with striped suits. And I’ve gone with that theme this time around, too.
This week’s suit is a charcoal pinstripe from Dugdale Bros & Co.’s New Fine Worsteds line of cloths. At 310g/m, it is a three-season suit (I hate to tell you but autumn isn’t too far away, and we need to start thinking about suits to carry us through from September to April). Charcoal pinstripe is a staple that you should have in your wardrobe, and this particular fabric is wonderful. Whether you go for a double-breasted or single-breasted configuration, you’ll look very much on point in this suit.
What I particularly like about this week’s suit and shirt combination is that the lilac in our multi stripe is my favourite colour to pair with dark grey. The two shades are so complimentary, especially in those autumn months. I love this combination, and I know you will too.
