The Suit of the Week – Episode 3 – Max’s choice

Bob The wardrobe builder

For our third Suit of the Week, we’ve asked Max to add to his excellent Shirt of the Week choice from Tuesday and provide us with a complementary suit cloth. And, as with the shirt, he’s made a splendid selection – a 400gms mid-grey herringbone cloth from Dugdale Bros & Co’s English & Town Classics line.

Herringbone is such a classic fabric, always smart and appropriate, but with its subtle pattern, ever-so-slightly out of the ordinary. In this mid-grey colour, it is really versatile and can provide you with so many incredible outfit choices. It’ll go with a shirts in white, blue, plus any of the pastels that Max and I both love. It looks on point with checks and stripes, and goes especially well with the double brown multi-stripe Shirt of the Week cut from a Regent fabric by Thomas Mason

This herringbone will look fabulous in any of the configurations we love at Mogg Towers – single-breasted in one or three buttons, or also in Max’s signature double-breasted style. It should also serve you through a good 8-9 months per year. It might be a bit warm in the hot summer months, but otherwise should work well most of the year. You’re going to love this suit!
