The Shirt of the Week – Episode 14 – Bob’s choice

by

Bob The wardrobe builder

For our Shirt of the Week, I get the reins back again, and I’ve chosen a wonderful blue shirt with purple and white stripes from Thomas Mason’s Regent line. It’s a stylish and subtle design, and one that is reminiscent of the kind of shirt that was prevalent during my banking days in the 90s.

This shirt means business, and as a result will look on point during your working day. It’s conservative, yet at the same time, because of the stripes and the little dash of purple, also looks very elegant and certainly not run-of-the mill. I’d style it with signature Mogg double-cuffs and my favourite full cutaway St James’s collar, but it would also look smashing with Max’s Zee Jerman collar in contrasting white.

You can also tweak the look of the shirt with your selection of neckwear. You could go with a purple tie, which would really pick up the colour in the shirt’s stripes, or maybe something in navy blue (with purple spots or a small discreet pattern – anyone?). Green and purple will also look amazing together – another great option. Very stylish, very House of Mogg and a perfect accompaniment to Saturday’s upcoming Suit of the WeekBTWB/YYS
