The Suit of the Week – Episode 14 – Bob’s Choice

by

Bob The wardrobe builder

Our Suit of the Week is my choice this time around, and it’s an old-school, elegant classic to work perfectly in tandem with our Shirt of the Week.

This week, I’ve chosen a charcoal chalk stripe by H. Lesser & Sons, from their Lumb’s Golden Bale bunch. The cloth comes in at 330g per metre, so is a midweight, versatile fabric that will work most of the year.

You really can’t go wrong with a chalkstripe. It’s always appropriate, always on point. You will look very well-dressed when you don a suit like this. In addition, the grey in the suit and the purple stripes in this week’s shirt will work very well together. Pair them with some shined black Oxfords, and you’ll look the business.

Max would look dashing in the classic Mogg double-breasted cut, while I would go for our one-button (with the higher stance) single-breasted jacket, with notch lapels. Both styles lend themselves perfectly to this cloth, and you’ll always feel great wearing this suit. BTWB/YYS
